Would you bother spending money on a game you can only play once or twice a month?

I've got to say, yes, I'd still spend exactly as much money on Magic with or without Chautauqua Comics.  I began to attend FNM and tournaments around the release of "Shards of Alara".  Did I spend money on Magic before that? Hell yes.  Would I continue to spend just as much money on Magic if Al's went up in flames?  Hell yes.   With or without Al's I'd STILL be playing Magic, not bitching about how I cant play at the local store.

Thats all I've got to say.  I'm done with this thread.

I dont think you understand. I'm playing with or without a local store. NO WHERE in this thread did i say i was quitting. Nor did I say i wouldnt spent just as much mone yon the game..

That's an ok point at best man.  These younger kids actually may not have anywhere else to play..

It was an ok point to make but as who has a facility to play in I think the teens to adults have a place or could conjure up one easly. Its the young-ins that I would be worried about since they dont have as many open resorces open to them.

IDk I have to take Al's side on this.  When he holds a sat magic tournament he can bring in hundreds of dollars, which not any other games can do.  Im sure he's not thinking "boy, that sucks I upset those 4 people that wanted to play (insert non-magic game)"  he's thinkin, "gee, im glad I made money today to pay my bills, employees, retirementt, wife, etc.  I mean, he knows he's pleasing his larget card-gaming customer base and he's making money. Thats the same reason hes not open sundays, because it doesnt pay to be open sundays.
